Biometrics

Chiral also is the sole distributor of the Megamatcher  biometric system and licenses in the Philippines. This system is designed for large-scale AFIS and multi-biometric systems developers. The technology ensures high reliability and speed of biometric identification even when using large databases.

Available as a software development kit that allows development of large-scale single- or multi-biometric fingerprint, iris, face, voice or palm print identification products for Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS and Android platforms.

In the Philippines, Chiral Software provides the fingerprint biometric scanners and Megamatcher system licenses for the Department of Health’s biometrics-based drug testing program or IDTOMIS (Integrated Drug Testing Operations and Management of Information System). IDTOMIS replaces the old database system used for drug testing which was prone to abuse.

By requiring biometric scanning for drug testing clients, the DOH system assures their identity and that no misrepresentation occurs. Non-appearance will also be prevented by this system.
